Supporting a Future for Farming in Puget Sound:

Join Hilary Aten, AgForestry Class 38, from PCC Farmland Trust to learn about their efforts to protect at-risk prime agricultural lands in the Puget Sound region and to support land access for the next generation of farmers. PCC Farmland Trust staff will lead an informal discussion on key threats to the future of farming in the Puget Sound region, priority areas and strategies for farmland conservation, and a new effort to support farmland transfer and access.

Later in the season, we will be holding the second part of the presentation on one of the protected farm sites. Where you’ll be able see and discuss with the farmer first hand the impact PCC Farmland Trust has had on their operation.
